My name is Julia (or JJ), and I am the founder of JJ Design. I hold a dual degree from Northeastern University in Architecture and Graphic & Information Design, and I’ve been drawn to the creative world for as long as I can remember. With experience as a high school design and photography teacher, a graphic design collaborator with local businesses, and a freelancer, I’ve built a foundation of adaptability, problem-solving, and clear communication.
My work thrives outside of the traditional corporate mold. I believe design should be multi-faceted; it should never be confined to one style, discipline, or set of rules. It is about pushing boundaries. One day, you will find me painting shoes or learning Adobe's newest program, and the next, I’m sketching clowns and building brand decks for cannabis startups (those last two are personal favorites). I focus on illustration and brand design that feels human, intuitive, and always a little unexpected. I aim to create work that resonates with people. As I often say,
“I design to make people feel. To feel is to be alive. So, I design to make people feel alive.”
